Many, many thanks to Richard Hawksworth, Danny and Sandra Hodgson, Jack Scrivener, Roger and Richard Moss for taking the time to exhibit their bikes at the Stafford show this weekend. Thanks also to my friends Lynn and Christine for all their help and support.
We were totally shocked (and pleased) to receive the Best Grand Prix Paddock Display award and it's testament to all those who have contributed to these shows since over the last 4 years. The clubstand display is hugely different from the 'paste table and row of deckchairs' displays that we see at many shows, and it is hard work but worth it when we spend the weekend in such good company.
We were not the only ones to get an award though. Little Ellis Hodgson got a 'Highly commended' rosette from the staff in the Grand Prix Paddock for his tricycle which he parked up in the secure storage overnight with all the other 'proper' bikes, complete with indentured luggage tag so he could collect it in the morning!
Next show: Newark tractor show on 11/12th November. Come and see the stand for yourself and wrap up warm - we're outside all weekend!!
